Eamonn Magee LLB.BL.

Eamonn is a graduate of Queens University Belfast. He qualified as a lawyer and was called to the Bar in 1979. He was called to the Irish Bar in 1986. He has spent more than 25 years in the Marine Insurance sector with the Allianz group, Ireland’s largest Marine Insurer and retired as Marine Manager in 2010. He has been to the forefront of Marine Insurance Practice both here and internationally through his involvement with the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI ) where he served on both its Liability Committee and eventually as a vice chairman of IUMI. He is a past Chairman of the Irish Institute of Marine Underwriters. Eamonn has been an executive committee member of the Irish Maritime Law Association (IMLA) for over 20 years and is a titulary member of the Comite Maritime International (CMI ) of which the IMLA is the National Branch.
